Ghost Blogging Platform - The next frontier for Dingleberry Pi
I plan on moving from WordPress to Ghost, a new up-and-coming blogging CMS
The year that I've been running this blog has been great fun, and its proved beyond reasonable doubt that a Raspberry Pi can run WordPress very reliably, providing some preliminary steps are taken prior to installing Apache, PHP and MySQL. There's a new platform now, and it's time to test yet again what a Raspberry Pi can do.
What next?
A chap called John O'Nolan has been working tirelessly to bring Ghost to the world. As John as stated, WordPress is a great platform, a great CMS, but it's become somewhat disconnected from its roots as a blogging platform.
Ghost (https://tryghost.org/) is his answer – a lightweight, purely blogging platform. This arises the question, can a Raspberry Pi run Ghost, how reliably, and how does it compare to WordPress. Welcome to the next chapter of Dingleberry Pi!
Dingleberry Pi – Soon to be powered by Ghost
I'm working with my backers copy of Ghost at the moment, testing it on a Raspberry Pi, and tweaking things ready to migrate this site over to it. This site is currently running from a conventional web server for the time being while I get things set up. I've ordered another Raspberry Pi so we'll be running again from a RaspBerry Pi.
